Penn State safety Keaton Ellis ‘leaning toward return for fifth season
Penn State safety Keaton Ellis is ‘leaning toward returning’ for his fifth season with the Nittany Lions, according to a report from 247Sports.
Ellis had originally entered the NCAA transfer portal but appears to be set on returning to Happy Valley.
The redshirt junior has been an integral part of the Penn State defense over the past two seasons, appearing in 25 games and making 19 starts. He has also recorded four interceptions and 39 tackles in his time with the Nittany Lions.
If he does return for the 2021 season, Ellis will be part of a deep and talented secondary unit that includes Jaquan Brisker, Lamont Wade, Jonathan Sutherland, and Marvin Grant.
